Stock fit perfect. Within an hour of receiving the stock had it switched out and was at the range shooting.

Absolutely surpassed my expectations with respect to beauty, fit and comfort. The barrel and trigger assembly when placed in the stock fit like a glove. No further fine tuning necessary.

This stock is perfect. I pulled the old one off slipped the rifle in to the new stock, tightened the screws. Perfect fit, no sanding, honing, nothing. Just put it on sight it in ( which took almost no adjusting) and go kill a coyote! Very happy with the new stock. Great colors to.

The stock took a little fitting because of the Timney trigger but only took 5 minutes with the dremmel tool. It passes the dollar bill test and the barrel floats free. I put a 11 degree target crown on the barrel. The rifle is a 7mm-08 carbine. Took it to the range an put a 7 shot group at 100 yards that you could cover with a quarter. Hard to believe what can be done with a "cheap" old Remington. Deer season is just around the corner! ;}

very good stock. looks great handles excellent. i wish it had the hole drilled for the middle screw however it is a perfect fit.

I received my Rem. 788 stock today and put it on my 788 in minutes. It fit perfectly. I thought to myself I bet it can't pass the dollar bill test between the stock and barrel, but to my surprise it passed. I took it out and shot a 1/8" 3 shot group on my first shots. I rate this stock 5 stars +++. Thanks for the fast shipping also.
